A CONFESSION

It’s simple really.

The unit was mustered on an agri world. All of the individuals that showed resistance to the grey-plague were born and raised there. In the cattle markets and farms that populate the hives and the outer-hab, there is a common disease that shows incredible similarity to the grey-plague, and all of the individuals from the survived the malady in their infancy.

No warpcraft. No miracles. Just good fortune.

The inquisitor convinced me that we might put this knowledge to good use. Perhaps even eliminate the grey-plague entirely, if only I could find out how this worked.

But this isn’t what she wants.

She wants to make the disease unsurvivable. To take their resistance and warp it into something worse, and to unleash it on the hive world, on the whole system.

Throne forgive me. I didn’t know. I swear I didn’t–
